What We Believe
God is the Creator and ruler of the universe. He exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. These three are one God. Genesis 1:1,26,27;3:22;Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; I Peter1:2; II Corinthians 13:13
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is equal with the Father. He lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all men by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days showing His power over sin and death. He ascended into Heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father. He serves as the only bridge between God and people. He will return to earth one day to reign as Lord over all. Matthew 1:22-23;John 1:1-5 & 14: 10-30; Hebrews 4:14-15; I Corinthians 15:3-4; Romans 1:3-4; Acts 1:9-11; I Timothy 6: 14-15; Titus 2:13
The Holy Spirit leads us, comforts, sustains and empowers believers and guides them in their pursuit of truth. The Holy Spirit convinces the world of sin, righteousness and judgment. John 14:14-19; 16:12-15; 20:19-23; Acts 1:6-8; Romans 8:1-17
The Bible is God’s Word for all mankind. It was written by human authors under the divine guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Proverbs 30:5; Psalm 119:105,160; II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20-21
Salvation is the forgiveness of our sin, deliverance from bondage, and the gift of new life in Christ. It is a process that begins when you accept Christ as your Lord and Savior. Salvation gives victory over sin and death. Mark 2:1-5; 10:28-31; 45; Romans 5:15-21; II Corinthians 5:18-21
A Christian is a person who accepts Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, who lives an obedient life through the power of the Holy Spirit. John 1:1-5; 14-18; 14:8-11; Acts 11:26; Hebrews 1:1-3
